Help on Linux(Ubuntu)

well i think it will be the quickest option and easyest, Considering this thread has been going on for 8days (would have downloaded by now) and we can't seem to get the issue sorted, the quickest would be to start new (and i would recommend dualboot instead of a wubi install so that it is much easyer to increas/decreas partition size next time. Have you tried a striped down version of linux? might be benefitial if you have very limited hdd space ( Damn Small Linux , Lubuntu , Xubuntu , SliTaz , Puppy Linux ).

ok,thanks,one last thing though, what about the NTFS5:no wubildr or something?

if you go the dualboot way you would want to have 1 ntfs partition (for windows) and ext partition for linux,the "ext" partition (during install chose the automtated way using the complete ext partition (easier that way).
