Hacking into a website

Hi all, hope i am posting in the correct forum.

One of our ex staff members has recently started up a business in competition to us which is absolutely ok except for the fact that they have not only stolen some our clients but have now taken all our intellectual property and put it on their website as their own.

As such i would like to "if possible" get access to their site and remove the IP that they have stolen.

Can anyone suggest on how to do this, i am busy D/L Backtrack 5 in the hopes that it will give me access but i am also a total noob when it comes to penetration testing and the software.

Please if anyone is able to help me out with this we would greatly appreciate it.

Hey DV, bud i am with you on this.... Its actually my boss that wants me to try.... He is just pissed off that this guy is bending him over and shafting him.

Personally i am peeved that he would do this but couldnt really care because its is just one more competitor to challenge and i do like a challenge :p

the way i see it is that if he cant even be professional enough to come up with his own materials and body of knowledge then he isnt really much competition at all.

I think its just alot of bruised ego's involved on both sides and me i am just the TECH dude sitting in the middle

and i did say to him that i would look into the possibility.... :arguile: JOB DONE!!!

for the record..... I did ask :P
