I also am playing with this and on a laptop you will most likely need to add drivers for your wireless card.

I did not have to add any drivers at all, I ran this as a live cd, it connected via wireless to the internet, I was able to get to all my network shares on any other computer in my network. Very easy and fast :)

As well as any usb flash drive I plugged into it, worked every time. I did not try running anything in wine yet, I would presume what works in wine works in wine no matter which distro you use.

I found most of the Linux Os's will have all the drivers you need .....there are a couple that don't

I guess i misspoke i did not have to add any drivers just activate the ones already in the OS but until i did so zorin did not recognize my wireless card

I found it is better to have everything going (switched on) ....eg internet etc before booting up with linux and the Os will do the rest

ever here of anyone installing linux on an older mac? like a imac all in one, power pc not intel???

I burnt this to a dvd+ so I will have to reburn to dvd- to try, or cd just haven't yet so thought I would ask :)

Didn't spend too much time on it, but couldn't get the d@$* imac to boot from cd, supposed to just hold the c key, but didn't work, I will look more later, only tried 2 boot cycles.
