The line problem I was facing a little while back has now been corrected.

I’ve tried to download this about 20 times now but I am still getting an error upon completion of the download and with two different browsers.

I give up now.

Mobius if you would like I'll load it to my cloud at Mega for you.
I'm downloading NIIXarch final now and it's going quick from sourceforge https://sourceforge.net/projects/niixar ... t/download
Version: niixarch-2016.09.14-x86_64

Originally, the download said something banal like "Download Failed"..............

But now it shows as a complete download in Firefox @ 1.48 GB, in the "display progress" box, but when I open this up in Library, the file is greyed out. I set my download to desktop but not a hint of the file is found. I tried downloading to a different folder but the same thing happens. My broadband meter shows that it has downloaded all the data too.

I am running the download without Firejail running.

I've checked for hidden files but nothing shows and there is no decrease of hard disk space.

I am wondering now whether there is some sort of permission for Firefox to download large files.

Mobi, I download huge files all the time using FF, no issues there. It doesn't impose any limits that I know of...

The size of the file download PANEL was reduced at some point about 3 years ago, but that is a display-only issue.

Its a strange one............

I have recently downloaded ISO files from other sources through the browser, uninterrupted, without hitch.

My torrent client still enjoys flexing its muscle with a 12gb download a couple of days ago.

I'm getting decent speeds for my connection too.

Just this one DL is causing a headache. Is it Sourceforge?? Have they a grudge? :icon_neutral:

What's odd(er) is that I can DL it without a hitch, but it is a fast connection, 75MB/sec+.

So Sourceforge is not the common denominator, methinks...

Have you tried a different system?

:icon_rolleyes: Errrrrrrrrrrr

No, (ahem) Zorin to the rescue maybe?

Oh dear  why didn't I think of that before?

I'll try IDH1's link first, on this, and if no good will try another machine...............

Thanks

hmm thats wierd...is it the same wioth both with the standard and the extra version??

I downloaded on a mates machine and here and worked fine...i also tried with the terminal using "wget" and that worked. In the back of my hed i was thinking maybe the write persion was disabled for your account in the dowload folder...but then other downloads would fail to. Then i thought maybe diskspace was an issue...but if you just did a 12gig downlaod thats not it either ... can you cd into the folder you downloaded and the do an ls ?
