here is me messing about with the pre release of Manajro 16.08, checking out there new Calamares installer which will be implemented in the new 16.08 versions. I have to say it seems like a prety nice choice if you want to give arch a try but don't feel like building it from their net installer. Also with the community JWM version its great for older hardware.
let me know if any part needs explaining and ill be happy to help
install Manjaro ( arch based distro )

I might just do that on an older unit just to see what gives!
Thanks for the tip, Niitriix!

Almost got seasick while it was setting mouse movement.
I take it you ran this in a VM?
I saver your video to my desktop, that was a lot to take in, in a short time.
Thanks for taking the time to show us the working the partition setup.
Here's the link to the Manjaro for anyone interested.

Re: install Manjaro ( arch based distro )
ye sorry about that, its runnung in gnome-boxes which seems to be a bit glitchy some times...also normally i would talk people through it and go slower, but i have no mic at the moment and its just a preview so ill do that with the final release.

Re: install Manjaro ( arch based distro )
I just got a used HP laptop and have everything bootable now under the right setting (was UEFI) and working fine.
I tried Mint 18 Cinnamon on another laptop and liked it.
Yesterday i burned Zorin 10 ultimate to disk and tried it.
I was impressed with it, and was wondering what you thought about it?
I want to set up a Linux base and then run different distros in a VM.

Re: install Manjaro ( arch based distro )
I tried Manjaro and it is indeed a very nice, solid distro
It is Arch Linux without the pain of installing it
They also have community releases which is nice, I picked the one that had i3 WM installed with Arch and ready to use and it works fine.
Thanks for sharing this nice find with us MrNiitriiX
