I give up CC.Thanks for your help.I went to the process 3 times and a lot of stuff was loaded then it just quit and stayed on my monitor without continuing.to do anything else.

You can try re-write the ISO in the lowest speed possible in case the one u used is somehow corrupted.
I'd start from there anyway :)

Elementary OS : Luna, Bodhi, Ubuntu, Mint and Zorin are perhaps the top 5 for beginners and Windows users IMO.
I've tried Ubuntu, Mint and Zorin (a bit) and I'm d/l Luna as we speak. Bodhi will be my next one.
